About Dylan
I have a PhD in chemistry from the University of Nevada Reno (Reno, NV) and a B.A. from Concordia College (Moorhead, MN), where I earned a Traditional American Chemical Society major in chemistry and a minor in biology.
I have been a Teaching Asssistant throughout my acacemic career, teaching laboratory sections of lower level biology, general chemistry, and organic chemistry. I was awarded "Chemistry Teaching Assistant of the Year" and "Mentor of the Year" from the University of Nevada Reno.

In my experience as both a student and an educator, I've found that individuals learn in vastly different ways. My approach to working with new students is to identify individual preferences, strengths, and weaknesses in their learning abilities. Although this is different for each student, this approach typically involves frequently asking students what works best for their approach to solving problems, trying both novel and familiar methods of problem solving, and analyzing the effectiveness of the aforementioned approach to learning.
