About Lacey
When I was in high school, I was always the student that understood everything. I got good grades with minimal effort, which is what everyone wants!
That changed very quickly when I started college. All of a sudden, I was working harder than other students and still didn't understand the material.
I understand what it's like to constantly reread the material and remain confused on the subject, and I want to avoid having students feel the same way!
I graduate with a BA in Biological Sciences with a minor in Environmental Science this May!

I typically start by figuring out what type of learner the student is. It's important to know what works best for a specific person. If you're a visual learner and I keep explaining the material to you with words, you won't get anything out of the lesson.
In April of 2019 I was given the opportunity to go to Costa Rica to study tropical field ecology! It was the last time I got to travel before the start of the pandemic, and it holds a very special place in my heart. I got to see many types of tropical ecosystems, new plants and animals, and immerse myself in a new culture!
