I am meant to work with kids. I build off the energy and enthusiasm that each unique individual brings to the table. I thrive off helping kids improve their fundamentals and mechanics as well as setting a positive example by being a good role model for them.

I started teaching Special Eduction at Fort Bend Travis High School and met a fellow coach there. We started a select Program together in which lasted 5 years. I started coaching and instructing 8 years ago at the age of 26.

I would first have the player go through the motion a few times to really get a glimpse of what he is doing incorrectly as well as what he is doing right. Give him constructive criticism on what he is doing wrong followed up with positive compliments with what he is doing well. Alot of times, there is going to be multiple things wrong with a players mechanics. I will make them aware of these imperfections but tell them only to really focus on 1 maybe two things at a time(you cant fix multiple things at one time, it is a process) and let them know that they will not fix them, "just like that" and that it takes "correct" repetition and being coachable. I always make it clear that we both need to "be on the same page" So don't hesistate to ask any questions if you are unclear about something. I like to incorporate drills during a lesson to fixate on certain habits that the student may have. I do like to video on my phone in order for the player to visually see and go over there mechanics in slow motion to point out certain specifics. I like to make the lesson as "gamelike" as possible because sports isn't just about drills. It takes situational, mental, and mechanical understanding to get the maximum potential out of the player. I use Blast Motion Technology during my hitting sessions to track progress and have the ability to show my players what they are doing correctly & incorrectly to help them visually see what they are doing in order to make adjustments quicker as well as more efficiently.

I have worked with all ages from 5-college level athletes in all aspects of the game, hitting, fielding, pitching, baserunning and catching.

Look for the instructor that is right for you. There are alot of good instructors and bad instructors out there. Don't let an instructors playing credentials be the sole basis of your decision. Instruction is about being knowledgeable and being able to relate with kids as well as being effectively relay inforrmation to them.
