About Teagan
I am a Developmental Psychology student at the University of Minnesota with a strong background in working one-on-one with individuals in both academic and healthcare settings. Through my experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant and volunteer tutor, I have developed strong communication, patience, and adaptability when working with people of different ages and learning styles. I take pride in being reliable, organized, and supportive, and I strive to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence. I am committed to helping students not only improve academically but also develop skills that will support their long-term success.

As a tutor, I focus on creating a supportive and individualized learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence. I am currently a Developmental Psychology student, which allows me to understand how different students learn and adapt my teaching style to fit their needs. I break down complex concepts into manageable steps and use clear, real-life examples to improve understanding.
A typical lesson begins with reviewing previous material, identifying areas of difficulty, and then working through new concepts together. I guide students through problems step-by-step, encouraging them to think critically rather than just memorize answers.
My approach is patient, flexible, and focused on building both academic skills and confidence. I work best with middle school and high school students who need support in math or general academic subjects, especially those who benefit from one-on-one attention and a personalized learning approach.
