About Monica
I have been working with undergraduate and graduate level students in the cadaver anatomy lab for 7 years. I was a teaching assistant for Missouri State University, one of the few universities in the region to have a cadaver lab available for undergraduate students. I have taught pre-health major, physical therapy, nursing, medical, and physician assistant students who come from all backgrounds and skill levels. I love working with student who are motivated to learn and succeed in the human anatomy lab.
I started teaching while working on my Master's degree at Missouri State University.
I have a Bachelor's and Master's degree in cell and molecular biology. I taught in the anatomy lab during my training and after completion for a total of 5 years. I am currently a dual degree medical student and doctoral candidate in pharmacology and physiology.

Every student is different and will have unique needs. Our first meeting will be centered on discussing the format and instructional design of their anatomy course and then assessing their current strengths and weaknesses. I will tailor my teaching to the students needs.
All types! Undergraduate pre-health major students, physician assistant, physical therpay, nursing, dental, and medical students. I have also mentored high school students in the past.
Look for someone who is interested in you understanding the material and being able to relate it back to the bigger picture, not just someone who can "guarantee an A" in the course.
