About Wayne
ICH combines mindfullnesss and business techniques for actors to find success on purpose.
With 30 years working in film, tv and broadway I have taught and coached actors with technique, self taping, audition preparation and professional industry goals.
I work ages 17-99 and all experience levels on areas from how to expand their territory to increase opportunities for a succeasful career in the entertainment industry.

The joy I get from seeing actors dreams manifest is a great reward. Because of my years in the industry as a working actor I get to share personal and professional knowledge to help actors in the process of acting and the business. When a student "gets it" and overcomes an obstacle and make a break through....THAT brings me joy!
I started teaching both acting and industry coaches out of a desire to help actors eliminate the frustrations I. The industry. Many times while working professionally, younger graduates would ask my advice and direction about acting and the business. In 2010, I decided to make it part of my business.
As a professional actor I studied with Clay Stevenson; my first acting coach from the age of 18- 22 and with Wynn Handmann in New York.
Coming from a business and marketing background I teach actors practical goals to their business while adding spiritual principles that allow students to stay focused and see their desired success before they begin.

Just as every person is different, so is my style in working with students. Upon enquiring, i provide an intake form for students that offers a clear view of their needs and goals.
Although there is NO cookie cutter process when working with a student. I can say foster a fun, safe environment for students to play, explore the work and build a process to arrive at the characters objective. As a professional actor
Young and mature, intermediate and seasoned professionals. I have worked with both.
Acting is a process. It's not add water and stir, but approaching it later by layer and in time you have a finished, but not perfect, creation. It's something you work on for the rest of your life.
Working on a pre Broadway production slated for N.Y. in the fall of 2017. I worked for 2 months in San Francisco! LOVED IT!

Not only that Wayne is a great instructor but he is also a great mentor. Working with him, I am learning a lot about the business and he is also giving me great exercises to build my confidence and so far I feel that I have the confidence to work and be successful in the entertainment industry. He is a veteran who-as a working actor himself-stays knowledgeable about current industry trends. His approach is very holistic and he truly knows how to guide you towards creating the acting career you desire for yourself.
I think Wayne's approach is really amazing! It's very strategic and hands on! He teaches you how to be a"working actor". He goes in-depth with preparing you for that audition, properly marketing yourself to agents and casting directors and maintaining the proper mindset to create your own success. After my first meeting, I managed to get freelance representation with 3 agents in one week! Wayne truly cares that you get results, and I like the idea of learning from an actual "working actor". He leads by example, so it makes sense!
Wayne is the man!!! I have been working with him for three to four years now. He is always there to give advice and just listen. He gets to really know you. He cares about your wants and needs. However, he is there to give his professional opinions and advice. Wayne has been such a great coach and confidant.

Wayne and I met approximately 7 years ago and I was in a place in my modeling career like I'm ready to just give up. We had a session and yes I mean ONE after I left Wayne I got a call from my agency for a verizon audition. The rest was history 1st speaking role in a independent film, pc richard commercial, a global ad was renewed for more money! Yeah so I say all that to say WAYNE PRETLOW IS THE GUY YOU NEED IN YOUR LIFE IF YOUR TRYING TO GET YOUR CAREER ROLLING.
I was at a crossroads in my life and trying to transition from one career to another. Wayne helped me to prepare for the transition and build my confidence as well.
