Hello! I’m Maddie, and I love languages. I’m passionate about helping students gain confidence in language learning and enjoy the process along the way. My Teaching Approach
My teaching style is student-centered, encouraging, and adaptable. I believe languages come alive when learners see how structure and meaning connect, so I focus on helping students truly understand the “why” behind grammar and translation—not just memorize forms. I use a mix of explanation, guided practice, and discussion to make lessons both clear and engaging.
A Typical Lesson
Each lesson starts with a short review to reinforce prior material, followed by an introduction of new concepts through examples and interactive practice. We then apply what we’ve learned to translation, reading passages, or writing exercises. I sometimes include cultural or historical context to make the material more meaningful and memorable.

With over five years of teaching experience and a master’s degree, I bring both depth of subject knowledge and a warm, approachable teaching style. I’m known for my patience, clarity, and ability to make difficult topics accessible through silly methods of memorization. My goal is always to help students gain confidence and enjoy the learning process.
