About Kate
I have been a teacher of English Language and Literature for 18 years in and around London. In the latter part of my career, I have specialised in small group tuition for those who need extra support, but I also have much experience of teaching individuals and whole classes from ages 11-18; including detailed knowledge of the GCSE and A-level curriculum for English Language and Literature.

My approach to teaching is always learner led. Our first session would be spent establishing your hopes and goals for the tuition and its necessary outcomes. After this you would undertake a 7 minute pre-assessment; a small set of questions designed to show me your strengths and areas for improvement so that I do not teach you what you already know. Our later sessions would use a variety of interactive resources and tasks to move you towards your goal. I can offer tutoring for GCSE and A-Level English Language and Literature. I am also happy to work with those who are looking to improve their academic writing, speaking or grammar in English.
