About Nur
I am a qualified B.Ed Intermediate Phase teacher based in Cape Town, South Africa, with a strong passion for helping learners improve their English skills and build lasting confidence in the subject.
My passion for teaching comes from seeing learners grow when they begin to understand concepts that once felt difficult. I enjoy guiding students step by step until they feel confident in their abilities, especially in reading, writing, grammar, and comprehension.
I believe that every learner can improve with the right support, patience, and clear explanation. My teaching approach is structured, supportive, and adapted to each student’s individual needs and learning pace. I focus on making English simple, practical, and easy to apply in both schoolwork and exams.
In my lessons, students can expect a calm and encouraging environment where they are free to ask questions, practice regularly, and build their understanding gradually. I provide clear explanations, guided exercises, and helpful feedback to ensure consistent progress.
My lessons are mainly aimed at Intermediate Phase learners (Grades 4–7) who want to improve their English marks, writing ability, grammar, and comprehension skills. I also support learners who may be struggling and need extra confidence-building support.
My goal is to help each student not only improve their results, but also develop confidence and independence in their learning journey.

My teaching approach is patient, structured, and learner-centred. I focus on breaking down complex English concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps. I believe every learner can improve with the right guidance, so I adapt my lessons to suit each student’s pace, learning style, and specific challenges. My goal is not just to improve marks, but to build long-term understanding and confidence in reading, writing, grammar, and comprehension.
I am proficient in English and teach all my lessons in English to ensure full immersion and improved language development.
A typical lesson with me is interactive and practical. We work through problem areas, do guided exercises, and apply real examples to strengthen understanding. I also provide feedback, tips, and strategies that students can use independently to improve outside of lessons.
My lessons are aimed at Intermediate Phase learners, as well as students who need extra support in English, whether they are struggling or simply want to improve their performance and confidence.
I am committed to creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace.
