About Sam
Having completed a MSc and doctoral research in A.I., I am now completing a second MSc in a medical field. I have a post-graduate diploma in Language & Communication and have also completed a MA in Applied Linguistics. I have learnt 5 different languages which I can communicate in to varying levels, and so have experience of learning languages. I have taught English as a foreign language to individual students as well as to classes, both in Britain and abroad. Also, I have taught native students English up to GCSE level, as well as having tutored them in the sciences, mathematics and European languages.

My essential methodology for teaching English stems from two TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) courses which I have completed, however, it is my experience in teaching which has to a greater extent shaped my approach. If teaching an individual I gear the methodology depending on the person, their character, their background and as far as possible according to their native language, using my knowledge of linguistics and knowledge of several European and non-European languages.
