Hi, I’m Taylor! I’m a certified Special Education and Elementary Education teacher with experience helping students succeed in reading, writing, math, and beyond. I’m passionate about creating personalized, engaging lessons that meet each student where they are and build both skills and confidence.

As a Special Education and Elementary Education teacher, I take a student-centered and flexible approach to tutoring, adapting my techniques to each learner’s strengths, needs, and learning style. I focus on building confidence and understanding rather than memorization, using strategies like visual aids, hands-on activities, graphic organizers, and step-by-step modeling to make concepts clear and engaging.
A typical lesson begins with reviewing prior knowledge and identifying areas of difficulty. From there, we set clear objectives for the session, work through examples together, and practice independently while I provide guidance and feedback. Lessons often end with a brief review and a simple goal for the student to continue practicing until the next session.
What sets me apart is my ability to personalize lessons across multiple subject areas — from reading, writing, and math to study skills and executive functioning strategies — while keeping sessions interactive, supportive, and encouraging. I integrate techniques I’ve developed over years of teaching in both general and special education classrooms, ensuring that students not only learn but retain and apply skills confidently.
My lessons are designed for elementary students and those who benefit from specialized support, including students with learning differences, IEPs, or those who simply need a stronger foundation in core subjects.
