About Lee
As a high school student, I was certain that I would never have use for the Spanish language. How wrong I was. For over the past 50+ years the Spanish language has been an integral part of my life.
As a Young man, I lived in rural Colombia for three years and it was there that I learned the basics of the language. I later earned a BA in Spanish and it was then that I discovered the real beauty of the language its literature and history sprang to life. My eyes were opened to a new world by learning about the history and cultures of countries that now speak Spanish around the globe.
Here in the United States, we are at a disadvantage in that we are wholly dependent on the English language to express ourselves. And that dependence causes us, (I believe) to not only ignore other languages but also other ways of living.
My wife is a native Spanish speaker and our children are also "hispanohablantes" (Spanish speakers). Learning Spanish has brought great joy to my life and I enjoy sharing a part of this joy with my Spanish students.

The key to managing a language is the domination of verbs. Vocabulary is of little value unless you have the power to express those words via the use of vowels. You will learn how Spanish, (don't let this next word scare you), grammar works and how it is different than English grammar.
You will see how easy it is to learn to pronounce Spanish. Spanish vowels are easy to manage. When you learn to pronounce Spanish vowels correctly you will soon see how easy it is to correctly pronounce any Spanish word thrown in your direction.
My lessons can be geared to meet any level. I learned Spanish from the ground up in rural Colombia and the business world in México.
Learning Spanish is a chore but it can be fun especially as you watch yourself put a sentence together and expanding your use of the language is even more fun as you learn to express yourself not only in the present tense, but also in the past, the future tenses, and beyond.
