Super Prof

Ashleigh is one of our best Reading tutors. They have a high-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About Ashleigh

I am Ashleigh and I have several years experience as a primary school teacher in the UK. I now no longer teach but still work with primary, middle and secondary schools across the country, including academies doing consultation work on things such as behaviour, assessment and progress.

I find that pupils I have taught and privately tutored previously feel at ease, learning with my approach. I find out about the child to see what their interests are so that I can include interests in tasks, questions and general learning where possible.

About the lesson

Sometimes it takes a little extra support to feel confident with different skills and understanding. I am very professional and patient in my approach. I have lots of experience teaching children from 5-11 years old and older in some subjects. I have taken several cohorts through the UK SATS and prepared some children for the 11+ testing. I am friendly and make learning easygoing for children so they enjoy those areas they find harder. I tutor for Y6 to Y7 maths to help with the transition from Primary to secondary content.

* Please be aware that from the planned start time of the session, I will wait 10 minutes to begin but if you are later than this with no communication then the session will not go ahead and you will still be charged. A few mins in I will send a reminder message/check in with you.

As noted on my tutor profile, I tutor online only and use the Superprof video call to tutor.

For small groups of children there will be an additional charge but please chat to me if this is something you might need.

** As of 1st March 2026, my price will be changing to £33 per hour. I have seen an increase in cost for my resources and this is still a competitive compared to other tutors with my level of qualifications and experience.

Ashleigh's response
Louis is very hard working, very polite and with gentle reminders he puts in good amounts of efforts into written tasks. Louis tries hard with his reading and corrects himself when reading too.

Ashleigh is providing exceptional tutoring to my son (Year 6). I can see his focus and commitment growing week by week. She manages to find a different "key" each week to keep him engaged during each lesson. The way she has managed to unlock my son's potential so far is remarkable.

I had the privilege of studying alongside Ashleigh during our Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) program, and I also had the opportunity to collaborate with her on group projects in various schools.

Throughout our time working together, Ashleigh consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of the curriculum and an exceptional ability to adapt her lessons to meet the diverse needs of her students. Her confidence in the classroom, combined with her strong pedagogical skills, made her an outstanding educator.

Ashleigh always maintained a professional demeanor, both in academic settings and in the schools where we conducted our practical training. Her commitment to her work and her genuine care for her students were evident in all her interactions.

In addition to being a dedicated and skilled teacher, Ashleigh is also a supportive friend and a reliable colleague. Her hard work and positive attitude have left a lasting impression on everyone who has had the pleasure of working with her.

I wholeheartedly recommend Ashleigh to anyone seeking assistance in school and exam preparation. Her expertise and commitment to education make her an invaluable asset to any educational setting.

Ashleigh tutored my daughter in the run up to her year 6 SATS. She was amazing!
My daughter did her exams with confidence which I'm certain came from being prepared through Ashley's tuition. I would definitely recommend.
