About Reece
Hi Everyone my name is Reece Cluff.
I am a fully qualified science teacher currently teaching in East Yorkshire. I have experience working in a variety of schools educating a wide range of students with different backgrounds and needs.
My success as a teacher is credit to my ability to develop strong relationships with my students, deliver engaging lessons, while teaching science in a relatable and understandable way. I pride myself on maintaining an individual approach for all students, to ensure students receive the specific support they need to progress and excel in science.
I am 31 years old and have been teaching for over 6 years. During my time as a secondary school science teacher I have also been a form tutor, worked within an alternative provision unit, mentored and trained aspiring teachers, marked exam papers for the AQA exam board, worked closely with SEND professionals, developed relationships with parents and carers and attended numerous training on safeguarding, child protection and other essential legislation.
I believe the current educational system is outdated and difficult for modern students to relate to. I incorporate technology to make tutoring sessions more accessible in addition to using relatable models and examples students can be familiar with. I believe everyone can be successful in science with the right teacher.
In my personal time I enjoy playing sport (particularly football) and watching sport on TV. I am a huge Liverpool fan and enjoy the general banter that comes along with it. Another passion of mine is travel. I have travelled to many countries around the world and previously lived in Australia for 2 years.

My small group sessions provide a variety of activities such as quizzes, games, simulations, interactive tasks and exam practice to give students the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to be successful. My sessions are extremely progressive, collaborative and specific to the AQA exam specification to guarantee students outperform any expected grades while developing socially and academically.
My sessions are for 1 hour (may run over) and are completed online through Zoom and Nearpod website. Sessions are recorded and reports can be provided. Students can choose to have their microphone on or not. Student cameras will remain turned off.
A set lesson curriculum is organized and can be found on GradeUpTutoring social media pages or please contact to find the current topic or request a date for a specific topic.
KS3 content is in line with the UK National Curriculum and streamlined to accelerate progression into GCSE study.
AQA GCSE sessions are tailored to foundation and higher students. Most content is also applicable to separate science students (contact for details).
