About Kirsty
Experienced and qualified violin, piano and music theory teacher. I have an MA with Distinction from the Royal Academy of Music, a Bachelor of Music with First class honours from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and am a Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music in Violin and Piano teaching. I am a Sub-Principal First violin of the English National Ballet Philharmonic.
I have vast performance experience and perform on a regular basis in a variety of ensembles - orchestras, west end shows and chamber ensembles, including performances at BBC proms and on Radio 3. I am passionate, positive and enthusiastic, and believe myself to be very adaptable to different learning styles and personalities. I am also a teacher of piano teacher at the Stewart Bilingual School. I have taught violin and coached chamber music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Summer School and David Game College.

I pride myself on my highly adaptable to different learning styles and have a positive teaching style, as well as being able to tailor my lesson style and goals according to my students needs. I am friendly, supportive and also encourage the student to fulfil their potential.
I have a 100% distinction/merit pass rate for ABRSM exams, as well as qualifications in Kodaly teaching and an LRAM in teaching. I hold an LRAm from the Royal Academy of Music in Violin Teaching and a Child Protection in Music certificate.I have an up-to-date DBS and I am based in West Norwood.
