About Katharine
I’m a calm, patient tutor with over a decade of experience supporting children through home education, Early Years, and SEND needs. I specialise in helping learners who need a gentle, structured approach — including those with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, anxiety, or low confidence.
I've spent 10+ years as an Ofsted-registered childminder and supporting home-educated children across the Primary curriculum. I also teach AQA GCSE Sociology with a 100% pass rate among my students!
My approach is warm, reassuring, and confidence‑focused. I meet each child exactly where they are, break tasks into manageable steps, and explain things clearly until they “click”. I never rush or overwhelm. My priority is always emotional safety and steady progress.

My lessons are calm, structured, and personalised to your child’s pace. I use clear explanations, visual supports, and small achievable steps to build confidence without overwhelm. Every session is adapted to your child’s needs, strengths, and processing style.

The goal of the first session is to help your child feel comfortable, understood, and confident.
