About Sadie
With a Bachelor’s in Musicology (Piano History) and 3 years of teaching experience, I specialize in jazz piano. My lessons focus on improvisation, comping, and developing an advanced harmonic vocabulary. I emphasize transcription, ear training, jazz theory, and rhythmic precision.
I have taught Early Intermediate to Advanced Intermediate students and professional jazz musicians. Lessons combine technical mastery with creative freedom. Students practice chord voicings, melodic improvisation, and stylistic nuances.

I teach pop piano with a focus on modern, practical skills. Lessons include playing by ear, chord voicings, arranging contemporary songs, and pop-specific techniques. Students start playing songs they love from the first lesson.
I work with hobbyist adults and pop players, helping them build skill, confidence, and creativity. We explore chord progressions, melodies, and rhythms common in contemporary music. Transcription exercises enhance listening and musical intuition.
Arranging songs encourages personal style and creativity. Lessons are hands-on, interactive, and enjoyable. Students gain the ability to perform solo or accompany others.
