About Chelsea
Hi! I’m a passionate pianist with 8 years of experience and a current Western University student and Western Scholar. Alongside my academic work, I’m also a member of a varsity team at Western, which has helped me build discipline, focus, and consistency—skills I bring into my teaching.
I have a strong passion for music and for working with kids, and I aim to make piano lessons fun, engaging, and encouraging. My priority is to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable, confident, and excited to learn at their own pace.
I specialize in working with beginner to intermediate students, especially children, and focus on building strong musical foundations through enjoyable, interactive lessons. I combine structured learning with creativity so students not only improve technically, but also develop a genuine love for music.

I believe piano lessons should be fun, engaging, and encouraging, especially for younger students. My teaching approach focuses on creating a positive environment where kids feel excited to learn and build confidence through music. I adapt each lesson to the student’s personality, learning style, and interests to keep them motivated and engaged.
A typical lesson includes learning songs, technique exercises, rhythm activities, sight reading, and beginner music theory in an interactive and approachable way. I like to break concepts into simple steps and celebrate progress so students stay encouraged and enjoy the learning process.
Having played piano for 8 years, I understand that patience and positivity are key when teaching children. I aim to make lessons something students look forward to each week while still helping them build strong musical foundations and discipline over time.
My lessons are ideal for beginner to intermediate students, especially children and younger learners who are looking to develop piano skills in a supportive and enjoyable environment.
