Kia ora, and welcome to my profile.
My name is Aakriti, and I am an experienced Science and Chemistry teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience in international schools. I have worked with students from a wide range of cultural and educational backgrounds, helping them build confidence, improve their understanding of science, and achieve their academic goals.
I hold a Master's Degree in Science, a Bachelor of Education in Mathematics and Science, and I am currently completing the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH), an internationally recognized educational leadership qualification. Throughout my career, I have taught secondary students across various curricula, including internationally recognized programs such as IB and Cambridge, developing strong expertise in Chemistry, Biology, and general Science education.
My teaching philosophy is simple: every student can succeed when learning is personalized, engaging, and supportive. I take the time to understand each student's strengths, challenges, and goals before designing lessons that meet their individual needs. Hello, I'm Aakriti, an experienced Chemistry and Science educator with over 10 years of teaching experience across international curricula, including IB MYP, IB DP, IGCSE, GCSE, and Secondary Science. I currently hold a leadership position in an international school and am passionate about helping students build confidence, achieve academic success, and develop a genuine understanding of science.
My teaching approach is student-centered, inquiry-based, and tailored to each learner's individual needs. I begin by identifying a student's strengths, gaps in understanding, and learning style. Lessons focus on developing both subject knowledge and exam skills through clear explanations, guided practice, real-world applications, and regular formative assessment.
I use a variety of teaching strategies, including:

• Exam-style questions and mark scheme analysis
• Data interpretation and scientific investigation skills

My qualifications include a Master's degree in Science, a Bachelor of Education in Mathematics and Science, and extensive experience teaching students from diverse international backgrounds. I also support students with Internal Assessments (IA), Extended Essays (EE), laboratory skills, and examination preparation.
