About SARAH
Hi my name is Sarah. I am a mathematics tutor specializing in secondary and high school students (Year 7–12), aligned with the Australian curriculum. I have experience working with students across a wide range of abilities, from foundational support to extension learning.
My teaching approach is patient, structured, and highly individualized, ensuring each lesson is tailored to the student’s learning style and needs. I focus on building strong conceptual understanding, improving problem-solving skills, and developing student confidence in Math.
I create a friendly and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable, engaged, and motivated. I encourage questions throughout and outside of lessons, and I am always happy to provide clarification to ensure full understanding.
My goal is to make Math clear, accessible, and achievable for every student while supporting consistent academic progress.

I specialize in teaching Mathematics to secondary and high school students, supporting learners from Year 7 to Year 12 in alignment with the Australian curriculum. My lessons are designed to strengthen foundational understanding, develop problem-solving skills, and build student confidence through clear explanations and structured practice.
My teaching approach is highly individualized. I assess each student’s current level and learning gaps, then adapt my lessons to suit their needs and the curriculum requirements. I use a combination of step-by-step instruction, guided problem-solving, and positive reinforcement to help students understand concepts deeply rather than memorizing methods. I also focus on developing independent thinking and exam-ready skills.
A typical lesson is 60 minutes long, providing enough time to review prior learning, introduce new concepts, and complete targeted practice with feedback and support throughout the session.
I have experience supporting students in one-on-one and small group settings, helping them improve their academic performance, confidence, and study habits. I am familiar with the structure and expectations of the Australian Mathematics curriculum and tailor lessons to ensure students are progressing in line with school requirements.
