About Hana
Hi, I’m Hana, a 25-year-old tutor with a 1st class degree in Mathematics from the University of Manchester (graduated in 2021). I started high school with average maths abilities, however in my first year I had an amazing teacher who made maths fun, his methods invited questions without judgement, and didn't make you feel silly even in front of 30 other students. My confidence grew and so did my ability. To this day, I'm still inspired by my first high school teacher's methods of fun and curiosity; it is exactly this that I try to bring to my own sessions. With 5 years of tutoring experience for students studying from primary school up to GCSE and A-Level, I’ve worked with students of all abilities, whether they are building confidence or preparing for exams. I’ve taught both 1-2-1 and small group lessons, and I also have experience as a Teaching Assistant (TA) through work experience in high schools. Tutoring is something I’m passionate about, and I find it incredibly fulfilling to help students reach their academic goals. I’d love to make tutoring my full-time job.
Outside of academics, I love rock climbing, music, and camping—activities that keep me active, motivated and balanced.

I believe anyone can do maths and physics. Students often think maths and physics is a memory game, which I firmly reject. I believe, while sometimes it can help pass an exam, understanding the logic behind allows you to recreate and apply any concept. My approach is centred on building confidence and providing the right support to help students succeed. I create a safe and comfortable space where students feel encouraged to ask questions and engage with the material. I strive to make lessons interesting, engaging and accessible, focusing on helping students understand the core concepts while keeping things enjoyable. I offer 1-hour and 2-hour sessions tailored to suit your needs, whether you're working through difficult topics or preparing for upcoming exams. Students are able to choose what we look at, they’re welcome to bring school work, alternatively I will provide materials.

Hana was a tutor for both my children when they were going through their GCSEs. She supported both my children to extend their understanding of maths and specific topics which they were struggling with. I would highly recommend Hana as a tutor. She was punctual, well prepared and reliable.
A fabulous tutor!
When I went on to do A level maths I couldn’t get my head round it at all so I found Hana to help me, she was brilliant, she explained everything thoroughly, got me to understand each question by breaking it down, she would help me to answer similar questions until I got a hang of it before moving on to the next, she helped me with ways to revise and how to manage questions in an exam, I would of really struggled with my exams if I didn’t have her guidance and help!
I definitely recommend Hana if you need any extra help in lessonsHana was the biggest help for me when completing my maths GCSE and really expanded my learning in maths. I wouldn’t have passed if it wasn’t for her!!
She helped me a lot in the lead up to maths exams for my GCSEs with me becoming a lot more confident in my maths abilities. Highly recommend.
My daughter Evie went to Hana for extra maths tuition. Hana is patient and great at explaining maths problems in an understandable, easy way. My daughter had additional needs which Hana worked with. Evie loved her sessions and Hana’s teaching methods.
Hana has an amazing tutor for my daughter Beth at a time when she really needed that extra tuition for not just maths but some science too.
I felt it also benefited with the fact Hana had attended the same high school which helped my daughter.
I would definitely recommend Hana, very personable & approachable.Hana tutored myself back in 2019 when I was about to undergo my GCSE’s. Prior to meeting Hana, I really struggled with maths and would never be able to even scrape a pass with any type of maths test I took.
Hana was incredibly warm, welcoming and patient with me and made my tutoring experience with her incredibly fun to the point I was actually sad it would come to an end!
Hana’s method of tutoring was very effective, for example working through examples together using a whiteboard. This allowed us to work together as a team which helped to cement some of the more complex methods clearly in my mind.
My maths teacher at the time predicted that I would most likely get a 3 in my maths GCSE (which is equivalent to a low D) with how I was performing. However, being tutored by Hana for a few weeks once a week helped me achieve a 5 in my maths GCSE (equivalent to a low B).
I cannot recommend Hana enough and will forever be grateful in how much she helped me.Hana was my maths tutor whilst in my final year of high school and was amazing. She clearly explained all the topics I needed help with and was super patient. I likely wouldn’t have passed my maths GCSE without Hana’s help!!
Hana helped me so much when I was doing my gcses back in 2020, she helped me understand maths easier than what I could in a classroom full of people, she worked at my pace and made learning fun, I got on well with Hana so I trusted her and I would 100% recommend her as a tutor
Hana was a massive help with my maths during high school. I was really struggling and knew I needed extra support, so I decided to get a tutor. Hana came highly recommended by my Head of Year, and she was exactly what I needed. I honestly don’t think I would’ve passed maths without her. I’m so grateful for everything she did, and I can’t recommend her enough!
