About Phil
I am a qualified and experienced educator with a strong background in both CAPS and Cambridge curricula. I specialize in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Information Technology (IT) and have worked with learners across different grades and ability levels. My teaching is structured, clear, and focused on building genuine understanding rather than memorization.
I am professional, reliable, and well prepared for every lesson. I take time to understand each learner’s strengths and challenges and adapt my teaching accordingly. My approach to private tutoring is learner-centred, structured, and supportive. I teach using both CAPS and Cambridge curriculum frameworks, with a strong focus on Mathematics, Computer Science, and Information Technology (IT). I place emphasis on understanding the “why” behind concepts rather than rote memorisation.
