Miecke tutored English at Stellenbosch University (SU) in 2019. At the time, I was co-ordinator of the first-year English program at SU, and Miecke worked under my auspices. It was Miecke's first time working as an English tutor and it proved to be a display of pedagogical and administrative excellence. Miecke is a devoted scholar and I have no doubt that they will make important contributions to English tutoring in both institutional and private capacity.

Miecke attended my Applied Linguistics course at the Department of Linguistics at Stellenbosch University. She was an excellent student who got high marks for assignments and tests. She was really interested in learning about language acquisition and gained valuable practical and theoretical experience on the course. I also got to know her as a person and I think she would be the kind of teacher who empathizes with her students.

Miècke tutored my younger siblings for a year and the improvement we saw was amazing. She has a great way with kids and she really ignited a passion for language in both my brother and sister. I couldn’t recommend a better English tutor!
