About Zahra
Hi! My name is Zahra, and I’ve just completed my A-Levels in Mathematics. I’m now going on to study Financial Mathematics at university – a subject I chose simply because I love maths and enjoy solving problems. I know from experience that maths can be challenging at times, but I truly believe that with the right support and approach, anyone can understand and even enjoy it. That’s why I’m passionate about tutoring – I want to help students feel more confident, less stressed, and actually interested in the subject. As someone who’s recently been through the GCSE and A-Level system, I understand the exam pressures and know what teachers and examiners are looking for. I can break down complex topics in a clear and simple way, and I’m always patient and supportive, no question is ever a “silly” question in my lessons. I'm super excited to help you achieve your best and fulfil your academic goals!

My Approach to Tutoring and Teaching Methodology I take a student-centred approach to tutoring, focusing on each learner’s unique needs, strengths, and learning style. My sessions are interactive, supportive, and goal-oriented. I use a combination of visual aids, real-life examples, and practical exercises to ensure students understand core concepts rather than just memorise them. I also encourage active participation, asking guiding questions to help students build confidence and independence in their thinking. Lesson Structure and Duration A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes. Lessons are usually structured into three parts: a quick review of previous material, the introduction of new content, and hands-on practice or discussion. I also provide optional follow-up assignments or resources for continued learning. And a key focus of exam practice questions to ensure my students are ready to sit their exams and achieve the highest grades possible.
