About Matt
I have over 20 years' experience of teaching EFL/ESOL both in the UK and abroad to individuals and groups, teenagers and adults. I prepare students for exams, or just help them develop their skills in speaking, listening, reading, writing, vocabulary and grammar.
I have experience teaching General and Business English in Paris for 5 years and 1 year in Modena, Italy. I was also an ESOL teacher at a Further Education in Manchester where I worked for 6 years.
I have also tutored several students for GCSE English Language and helped them achieve the grade they wanted.
I adapt the lesson to your needs and put you at your ease from the very first lesson. Learning with me is fun and many of my students have been with me for years. Why don't you join them?

If you are preparing for an exam, I prepare you for each skill, developing your confidence and competence in speaking, listening, reading and writing. I prefer to work within a topic, extending your knowledge of vocabulary and grammar at the same time.

I may charge £5 extra if it the total return journey to the venue takes 40 minutes or more. If required, I offer an initial free discussion of 30 minutes at a convenient, nearby location or over the phone. This is to discuss the student's needs and wishes and what is to be covered in lessons.
I offer a reduction for groups of 2 or more.
