About Satbeer Singh
About Me
My name is Satbeer Singh Virdi, and I am a certified IELTS Educator and English Language Teacher based in Dubai. With over five years of teaching experience, I have helped hundreds of students across India and the UAE develop their English skills and achieve the band scores they need to move forward in life — whether that means securing a university place, obtaining a visa, or advancing in their career.
I hold a CELTA certification from Cambridge Assessment English — one of the most widely recognized teaching qualifications in the world — along with a Bachelor's degree in English Literature. This combination of academic knowledge and practical classroom experience allows me to deliver lessons that are both structured and genuinely engaging.
What You Can Expect
From your very first lesson, I will assess your current level, understand your goals, and put together a clear, personalized plan to get you there. Every session is purposeful — no time is wasted. I focus on the areas that matter most for your progress, whether that is mastering the IELTS Writing tasks, building confidence in Speaking, or strengthening your overall communication skills.
I work with students aged 16 and above, from beginner to advanced level, and I am equally comfortable teaching one-to-one or in small groups. All of my lessons are delivered in a supportive, pressure-free environment where questions are always welcome.

My Teaching Approach
I believe every student learns differently, which is why I tailor each session to the individual needs and goals of my students. My lessons are structured yet flexible — I begin by assessing where the student currently stands and then build a clear, step-by-step plan to help them reach their target band score or language goal.
Techniques & Methodology
I use a communicative approach combined with exam-focused practice. Each lesson typically includes a short warm-up, targeted skill work (Writing, Speaking, Listening, or Reading), and a review of common mistakes. For IELTS students, I focus heavily on understanding the marking criteria — so students know exactly what the examiner is looking for. I use real past papers, model answers, and timed practice to build both confidence and exam technique.
Lesson Length
A typical lesson runs for 60 to 90 minutes. For intensive preparation close to an exam date, I can offer back-to-back sessions or condensed daily practice plans.
Qualifications & Experience
I hold a CELTA certification from Cambridge Assessment English and a Bachelor's degree in English Literature. I have over 5 years of experience teaching IELTS and General English to students from various backgrounds across India and now Dubai.
