# 1. Introduction

Hello, children! Today we will learn Hindi vowels.

In Hindi, vowels are called **स्वर (Swar)**.

Let’s learn the Hindi vowels together!

# 2. Learn Hindi Vowels

अ – A – अनार (Pomegranate)

आ – Aa – आम (Mango)

इ – I – इमली (Tamarind)

ई – Ee – ईख (Sugarcane)

उ – U – उल्लू (Owl)

ऊ – Oo – ऊन (Wool)

ऋ – Ri – ऋषि (Sage)

ए – E – एड़ी (Heel)

ऐ – Ai – ऐनक (Glasses)

ओ – O – ओखली (Mortar)

औ – Au – औरत (Woman)

अं – An – अंगूर (Grapes)

अः – Ah – दुःख (Sorrow)

# 3. Speaking Practice

Teacher: Repeat after me.

Teacher: अ, आ, इ, ई

Children: अ, आ, इ, ई

Teacher: Very good! Now let’s say all the vowels together.

# 4. Fun Activity

Show pictures of a mango, an apple, and grapes. Ask the children to identify the pictures and repeat their Hindi names.

# 5. Revision

Ask the children:

1. What is the first Hindi vowel?
2. Which vowel begins the word आम?
3. Can you say five Hindi vowels?

# 6. Homework

Write the Hindi vowels five times and practise saying them aloud.
