About Cruz
I have 7+ years of experience teaching guitar across different platforms. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance (Contemporary Styles). Lessons focus on original composition and musical experimentation. Students learn techniques for arranging pieces for various settings. Each class is tailored to personal aspirations. I emphasize harmonic exploration and chordal innovation. Melodic creativity is nurtured consistently. Counterpoint exercises add complexity and texture. Learners create recordings to evaluate their musical ideas. I teach beginners, intermediate performers, and advanced composers. Lessons integrate technical skill with imaginative projects. Students are encouraged to take creative risks. We study examples to inspire individual projects. Instruction is adapted to each learner’s strengths and preferences. Students develop confidence in composing and performing. Technical accuracy and artistic development are cultivated together. Sessions are structured to challenge and inspire students. I teach guitar with a focus on live performance and collaboration. Lessons emphasize ensemble playing, communication, and working as a team. Fingerstyle players and late bloomers are guided to shine in group settings. Improvisation, arranging, and collaboration exercises are core components. Students practice timing, dynamics, and musical interaction. We simulate live performance situations to develop stage readiness. Each lesson is tailored to individual goals while encouraging teamwork. Learners gain experience performing with different musical styles. Students explore ways to contribute creatively to a group sound. Technical skills and expressive playing are developed together. I guide students in handling performance nerves and engaging audiences. Lessons teach leadership, listening, and collaboration in a band context. Students practice live and rehearsal scenarios regularly. Each session balances skill-building with real-world performance experience. Students leave prepared to perform confidently in solo and group settings. My aim is to create musicians who shine individually and collectively. Every lesson fosters creativity, teamwork, and stage presence.
