About Alma
I’ve spent years performing, recording, and teaching guitar to students of all ages and skill levels. My lessons are inspired by real musical experiences, from stage performance to studio collaboration, giving students insight into how music works both technically and emotionally. I focus on creating a relaxed, encouraging space where learners can progress without pressure. Whether you dream of performing, writing songs, or simply playing for joy, I tailor each class to make that journey rewarding and meaningful. When I’m not teaching, I perform with bands, write original music, and collaborate with artists from different genres. These experiences help me bring fresh ideas, inspiration, and genuine passion into every lesson I teach.

My guitar lessons combine structure and freedom, helping students master fundamentals while encouraging creativity. I teach chords, scales, rhythm, and picking technique through songs and exercises that engage both mind and ear. Lessons are always personalised to suit the learner’s pace, goals, and musical taste. Beginners begin by learning the essential chords, strumming patterns, and hand positioning needed to build control and rhythm. Intermediate students refine transitions, explore different genres, and learn to create melodies and solos. Advanced learners focus on tone shaping, improvisation, complex fingerpicking, and performance techniques. Music theory and ear training are woven throughout to deepen understanding. My lessons emphasise self-expression and enjoyment — not just playing songs, but understanding how music communicates feeling. Students leave with confidence, creative spark, and a strong technical foundation to support their artistic growth.
