About Tom
I have been teaching since 2014 and I love building a rapport with my students. I love sharing my passion for languages and helping people succeed in learning German and French, as well as supporting those who may find languages more challenging.
In my personal life, I enjoy going for walks, cooking and travelling, both within the UK and abroad.

Hi, I’m Tom, a secondary German teacher currently teaching German at A Level and GCSE level and French to GCSE. I am a friendly and patient teacher, with a degree in German Studies from the University of Manchester and a PGCE in MFL teaching from Durham University.
Although I specialise in GCSE German, I am flexible in who I tutor and can adapt my tutoring to fit the needs of anybody who requires it. I believe a focus on grammar, speaking and writing are the key tools required to succeed in the learning of any language. I am able to cater for any particular needs or specific requests, just ask.
