About Tjshana Rai
With a BSc and MSc in Genetics and currently completing my PGCE in Science at King’s College London, I am a passionate educator dedicated to making science accessible and engaging. My love for teaching stems from a deep enthusiasm for Biology and Chemistry and a strong belief in the power of education to inspire and empower students. I strive to create a supportive and structured learning environment, tailoring lessons to each student’s needs to help them grasp complex concepts, improve exam techniques, and gain confidence in their abilities. I focus on building understanding, confidence, and exam success by tailoring lessons to each student’s needs. Lesson Structure & Methodology: - Explain key concepts in an easy-to-understand way - Apply learning through discussions and worked examples - Practise with past paper questions and problem-solving exercises - Review progress regularly with feedback and tailored guidance Lesson Length: - Standard sessions: 1 hour - Intensive revision: 1.5–2 hours (optional) Qualifications & Experience: - BSc & MSc in Genetics - PGCE in Science (King’s College London, in progress) - Experience tutoring GCSE students in Biology & Chemistry - Teaching experience in classrooms, adapting to different learning styles** Who the Lessons Are For? - GCSE students (ages 14–16) - Suitable for **all ability levels, from those needing extra support to high achievers aiming for top grades I create a supportive and motivating learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing a deeper understanding of the subject.
