About Clement
I am an experienced Further Education maths teacher with over 12 years of classroom experience. During this time, I have worked with a wide range of learners, particularly those who have struggled with maths or lost confidence in the subject.
I enjoy helping students break down complex topics into simpler, more manageable steps and seeing their confidence grow as things start to make sense. I find it especially rewarding when students who previously felt they “couldn’t do maths” begin to achieve success in exams and start to believe in their abilities.
I want to continue teaching through tutoring because I value the opportunity to work closely with individual students and tailor my support to their specific needs and goals. My aim is to help students not only pass their exams, but also develop a more positive and confident approach to maths that stays with them beyond the classroom.

Profile:
I am a qualified maths teacher with over 12 years’ experience teaching in Further Education, specialising in helping students who have previously struggled with maths to finally achieve a pass.
I work particularly well with:
GCSE resit students
Functional Skills learners
Adults returning to education
Students lacking confidence in maths
My approach is calm, structured and supportive. I break down difficult topics into simple steps and focus on building confidence as well as understanding.
Many of my students come to me after finding maths challenging in school. I focus on steady progress, exam technique, and helping students feel comfortable asking questions.
Lessons are tailored to each student, whether the goal is to pass a resit, improve grades, or build core numeracy skills.
