About Patricia
I have nearly 22 years of experience as an educator of adult students and organizational leader in higher education. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Services/Theatre from Metropolitan State University, both a Masters in Art in Business Leadership and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Hamline University in St Paul, Minnesota. My comprehensive concentrations were in organizational leadership, conflict mediation, adult learning development, and racial/gender justice. Her dissertation topic was “Adult Learners and Faculty Preferences for Teaching Methods: A Comparative Study. I am passionate about making learning relevant and fun for others.

The methods I use in a face to face classroom include practical scenarios but are directly connected with a piece of academic information I am trying to help students understand. Popular movie clips are fun and relate professional practice to potentially dry academic topics. I always try and help the student find the fun in what they are doing because it creates motivation and progress.
