About Sewwandi
Hello! I’m Sewwandi from Sri Lanka, currently living in Adelaide, South Australia. I work as an Associate Adviser at a financial planning firm, helping clients manage their financial futures. Outside of my professional role, I tutor English as a hobby because I love language and enjoy helping others improve their skills. I’m an avid reader, finishing about one book every week. Some of my favorites are Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, and The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. These stories inspire me and shape the way I teach. I’ve helped many people improve their English speaking and writing. Just last week, I took the Pearson Test of English and scored a perfect 90. I look forward to helping you build your English skills and confidence in a way that suits your learning style and goals.

With a background in English Literature and public speaking, plus experience proofreading assignments, I help students improve their grammar, writing, pronunciation, and confidence. I can also proofread your assignments if needed. I use interactive and practical exercises in a patient and encouraging way, making lessons comfortable and effective. My volunteer work teaching underprivileged children has taught me to adapt lessons to each learner’s style.
