About Elizabeth
I am an extremely passionate, friendly and well read English tutor looking for students. I am keen to nurture academic excellence in Literature and a passion for reading in those I tutor. I have an excellent understanding of the requirements for results in many different education levels - whether that be KS1, KS2, KS3, GCSE, AS or A-Levels.
Work experience:
3 years as a 'Catch Up' and Study Skills tutor at Leyton Sixth Form College. 2022 - present.
I've helped underachieving students improve their grade (U - B) as well as helped high achieving students identify gaps in their knowledge. Additionally, I am equipped to teach study skills - i.e: Academic writing, referencing, time management, research.

We will speak initially about what it is you want to progress in and to establish your current level. Once we have determined what it is you want to get out of our sessions and what it is you need to address to improve, we will begin. Depending on what you want help with, this could include analysing quotes from texts, establishing an understanding of a text, essay writing practise, decoding exam questions. The lesson is completely determined by you and your needs.
