I am a dedicated and patient English tutor who focuses on helping students build confidence in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the language. My teaching style is supportive and adaptable, designed to match each student’s pace and learning needs.

Hi, I'm Aarna, a Psychology undergraduate studying at a UK university with experience tutoring English and teaching students of different ages and abilities.
My teaching approach focuses on creating a supportive, engaging, and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities. I tailor every lesson to the individual student, ensuring that teaching methods match their learning style, strengths, and goals.
I can help students improve their reading, writing, grammar, spelling, comprehension, vocabulary, essay writing, and exam techniques. I use a combination of clear explanations, guided practice, interactive activities, and constructive feedback to make lessons both effective and enjoyable.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although session lengths can be adjusted to suit individual needs. Each lesson is structured around the student's current level and learning objectives, helping them make steady and measurable progress.
Alongside tutoring experience, I have worked as a swimming instructor teaching children aged 3–18 and have experience supporting individuals with diverse educational needs. These roles have strengthened my communication skills, patience, adaptability, and ability to motivate learners from different backgrounds.
