About Hana
Hi, I’m Hana! I currently live on the sunny island of Malta, although I’m originally from Slovakia and have also lived in the United States.
One of my greatest strengths as a teacher is that English is not my native language. I know first-hand what it feels like to learn, speak and sometimes struggle with a foreign language. Because I’ve experienced those challenges myself, I can understand my students on a personal level and help them overcome their difficulties with patience, encouragement and understanding. ️
I absolutely love teaching and genuinely believe that my passion for languages, learning and education comes across in my lessons. Seeing my students gain confidence and realise what they are capable of is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.
When I’m not teaching, I love running, yoga, reading and dancing. ️

I’ve been teaching English for 20 years — and I still absolutely love it! ️ For me, teaching is about much more than grammar and vocabulary. It’s about helping people communicate with confidence and actually enjoy using English.
I teach all levels, from absolute beginners to advanced learners, as well as Business English. Whether you need English for everyday life, travel, work, presentations or important meetings, we can work on exactly what YOU need.
No two students are the same, so every lesson is personalised around your goals, interests and requests. My lessons are dynamic, practical, flexible and always designed to make learning English enjoyable!
