I've taught hundreds of students, online and in classrooms here in Montreal; I'm attentive and patient during lessons, and I truly care about helping people to improve their English. LESSON FORMAT FOR ADULTS
My lessons are conversation-based, covering different topics like work, family, our countries and culture, current events, and more. We do a variety of different activities during these lessons, and they provide an opportunity to practice your speaking, grammar, vocabulary, and listening skills.
That's the general format. But, if you have a preference for practicing writing, or a stronger focus on grammar or reading, then we can do that too. You're also welcome to bring materials related to your job; any emails, presentations, or other items that you'd like to go over together.
I also offer IELTS prep lessons for students preparing to take the test.
Interview practice sessions are also available.
In our first lesson, we'll discuss your needs, and I'll also assess your current abilities in English, and we can develop a personalized plan from there.
Reviewing what you've learned is important, so that you don't forget! I'll provide you with homework assignments after every class, and also go over what we've learned previously as our lessons progress.
LESSON FORMAT FOR KIDS
I have a different approach for children, taking into account their developmental stage and attention span. Children make sense of the world through play! For young learners, I will provide a mix of games and conversation, and in the process aim to increase their vocabulary, improve their grammar knowledge, and grow their confidence.
