About Mariska
Hi! I’m Mariska, a passionate and dedicated bilingual tutor fluent in both English and Afrikaans. I work with school learners from Grade 1 to 12, helping them improve their language skills with patience, clarity, and encouragement. My goal is to make language learning less stressful and more enjoyable by creating a safe space where students feel heard, supported, and capable. With a strong understanding of both CAPS and IEB curriculums, I adapt each lesson to fit the learner’s individual needs — whether they’re catching up, preparing for exams, or simply building confidence. I love using creative methods, personalized study notes, and regular progress feedback to help each child succeed at their own pace. Helping learners grow not just in academics, but also in self-belief, is what I truly care about. Let’s learn together — with calm, structure, and a smile.
