About Amy
Hi, I'm Amy - a dedicated, enthusiastic and motivating educator based in London. British born, I am a native English speaker and in addition to being a qualified teacher with PGCE and QTS status, I am also a qualified English as an Additional (EAL) teacher.
Compassionate and hardworking, I care deeply about supporting learners in achieving their goals. I am lucky to work in Inner City London, which has given me the opportunity to teach a range of pupils, with varying needs, attainment levels and personalities. In the day, I teach
a class of primary children in the evening / at weekends, I tutor adults and children in their goals. As a part of my role as a class teacher, I am the writing lead for my school and a moderator for the borough of London that I teach in, which means I have an strong sense of assessing students for learning and planning lessons to help bridge gaps.
The adults I tutor have had support in various ways, including learning to read and write in English, developing presentation and interview skills and building fluency in speaking and listening in Business English.
Prior to becoming a qualified teacher, I worked in fast paced industries built on creative briefs, clear communication and sharp deadlines, such as journalism and marketing. Beyond having a diverse and successful career, I have spent time in different countries, learning about the world and other people's cultures. I am interested in others and love meeting new people.
I have some availability coming up this summer. Please reach out if you would like to discuss further.

Amy helped me to build confidence in speaking and listening in English, as well as helped me to tweak grammatical areas in CVs, cover letters etc. She is professional, dedicated and friendly - I would highly recommend her if you are looking for help and English is your second language.
Amy is a polite, experienced and organised tutor who really supported my cousin with the primary curriculum. She delivered lessons that were exciting and engaging and consequently his confidence and capabilities at school improved.
amy is one of the most caring and loyal people i have come across. her passion and enthusiasm for teaching and learning are second to none. a real inspiration to children and her peers. would
highly recommend.Amy is a well-experienced English teacher. She strongly supports my school interview preparation and general speaking skill improvements; these sessions are extremely helpful for me. After a few sessions with her, I started to feel more confident in talking, and she's still tutoring me for further development.
