I enjoy making learning positive, supportive, and engaging for every student. My approach as a tutor is patient, encouraging, and personalized to each student’s learning style and needs. As an elementary teacher with over 20 years of experience, I understand that every child learns differently, and I work to make math clear, approachable, and confidence-building.
I break concepts down step-by-step, use real-life examples, guided practice, and positive reinforcement to help students feel successful. A typical lesson includes reviewing previous skills, introducing or practicing a concept, working through examples together, and allowing students to practice independently with support as needed.
What sets me apart is my classroom experience and ability to connect with students who may feel frustrated or anxious about math. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.
