About Erin
I have taught grades kindergarten, first grade, second grade, and third grade. They are all extremely fun grades and ages for students. There is a lot to learn, and learning can be fun! I love getting to know my students and building relationships with them. I definitely believe teaching is not a one-size-fits-all. I know personally I learned better by seeing and by doing, so using manipulatives can be huge and having many examples. We learn by our mistakes, and we are all constantly making them, and it’s important to be able to learn from them.

I specialize in elementary education. I have taught grades kindergarten, first, third, and second. I really enjoy teaching young kiddos. They have such a fun imagination and are extremely creative. However, because I have taught, I do understand the academic leaps that are expected of children and how they can be challenging. More often than not, children need one-on-one instruction or at least in small groups to understand the concepts better by having a tutor. This will help ensure that they are understanding the concepts that are being taught in their classroom.
