About Shianne
Hello! I'm a certified elementary educator with seven years of experience helping young learners develop strong foundations in reading, writing, and mathematics. I have worked with students in Kindergarten through third grade in both whole-class and small-group settings, giving me extensive experience supporting learners at all skill levels.
I believe every child can thrive when instruction is personalized, engaging, and encouraging. My tutoring sessions are designed to meet each student where they are, celebrate their strengths, and provide targeted support to help them reach their goals. What a Typical Lesson Looks Like
A typical 60-minute session includes:
5–10 minutes: Review previously learned skills and set the learning goal.
20–25 minutes: Direct instruction on a new skill with guided practice.
15–20 minutes: Independent practice through engaging activities or games while I provide feedback.
5–10 minutes: Review key concepts, celebrate successes, and share practice activities for home.
Every lesson is individualized, so no two sessions are exactly alike.
