My approach to tutoring is rooted in clarity, connection, and confidence-building. I believe every student can learn at a high level when instruction is intentional, structured, and responsive to their needs.
Teaching Method & Techniques:
I use a scaffolded, student-centered approach that blends direct instruction with guided practice and independent application. I break complex concepts into manageable steps, use real-world examples, and incorporate visuals and discussion to support different learning styles. I also use questioning strategies to check for understanding and push critical thinking.
Typical Lesson Plan:
Each session begins with a quick check-in or warm-up to activate prior knowledge. I then introduce or review the focus concept through clear modeling (“I do”), followed by guided practice (“We do”), and finally independent practice (“You do”). We close with reflection, corrections, and a quick assessment to track growth and identify next steps.
What Sets Me Apart:
I bring both instructional expertise and relational awareness. As a classroom educator, I understand how to meet students where they are while holding them to high expectations. I don’t just help students complete work—I teach them how to think, problem-solve, and become independent learners.
