About Trent
I am a dedicated Chemistry tutor with over 5 years of experience helping students build strong understanding and confidence. I hold an MSc in Theoretical and Computational Chemistry, which allows me to connect deep theory with real-world applications. My teaching takes a holistic and interdisciplinary approach, especially in the field of forensic chemistry. I work closely with students who are interested in careers in forensic science and law enforcement.
I focus on key areas such as drug analysis, toxicology, and crime scene investigation techniques. These topics are taught in a clear and structured way. I use simulated case files to make lessons engaging and realistic. Students learn how to apply chemistry to solve complex problems.
I also introduce the principles behind analytical instrumentation. This helps students understand how scientific tools are used in real investigations. Concepts are not just learned, but applied. My teaching approach in Chemistry focuses on making organic chemistry understandable through clear explanations. I believe complex ideas become easier when they are broken into simple steps. Each lesson follows a logical structure.
Students learn topics such as organic nomenclature, functional groups, reaction mechanisms, and structural isomerism. These concepts help explain the behavior of carbon compounds. They are key parts of organic chemistry.
I guide students through analyzing molecular structures and reaction steps carefully. This helps them understand the logic behind chemical reactions.
Consistent feedback is an important part of my teaching. Students practice regularly and improve their confidence over time.
Students interested in environmental science and ocean chemistry often appreciate learning about carbon compounds. Many natural chemical systems rely on organic molecules.
