About Craig
Over the years, I’ve taught a wide range of subjects and worked with people of all ages and backgrounds - from teaching 3D and 2D animation at university college level to teaching flying trapeze in circus schools around the world and even helping mature-aged people learn to play the Wii as part of their rehabilitation. Watching my students grow in confidence and certainty is the fuel for my teaching.
These experiences have taught me that everyone learns differently. I enjoy finding ways to make learning engaging, practical and enjoyable, while creating an environment where people feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building confidence.
I bring that same enthusiasm and personal approach to my English lessons, tailoring them to each student and helping them develop the confidence to use English in real life.

I am an Australian, CELTA-qualified English teacher with experience teaching both in the classroom and one-to-one. My lessons are suitable for students of all ages and levels, from beginner to advanced.
My approach is relaxed, practical and centred around real communication.
I use conversation, questions, role-play and everyday situations to help students develop their speaking and listening skills, while naturally working on vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. My approach is tailored to each student, so we make sure we’re learning the English you actually want to use, based on your level, interests and goals. I encourage students to speak as much as possible in a supportive environment where mistakes are a normal part of learning.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although I can adapt the length to suit the student.

Craig is very patient and easy to talk to. I was not very confident speaking English and was worried about making mistakes. He never made me feel bad when I got something wrong and gave me time to speak. I feel more confident now and I really recommend him.
I’d smooth the wording and remove the repetition around “calm/calm(ed)”:
I met Craig at circus school, where he was my flying trapeze instructor. He has endless patience and an incredibly calm, gentle disposition that immediately put me at ease.
