Perfect! Tom was fantastic! He did a great job at explaining things so that my daughter understood them and demonstrated all of the exercises he was explaining on camera so that she could understand them. He was very kind and encouraging and positive. We are scheduled with a few other tutors, but Tom is definitely in the running to become my daughter’s teacher. We really liked him!

Perfect! My first lesson with Tom covered holding the bow, and switching left hand positions. He was very thorough and explained it very clearly. I really appreciated his excitement afree explaining these techniques and seeing my progress just in the first lesson.

Perfect! Tom was OUTSTANDING. First, he wanted to learn more about my background and what brought me to the cello. Then he began by explaining some of the basics of playing the cello and, even thought my cello is on order and won't be available until this evening, he found creative ways to demonstrate the concepts he was proposing without the use of a live cello.

He answered my questions thoroughly, and even provided other resources to help me explore the issues I raised more thoroughly.

Tom's teaching style is one that incorporate a great deal of mobility. He stood up, sat down, and moved around with and without the cello to demonstrates the points he was raising. I doubt that I'd get sleepy during a lesson with him!

Although I am considering several teachers at the moment, Tom ranks among the highest if not THE highest in my consideration at this point.
