About Errol
I am a qualified teacher with two Masters, one in Business Administration the other in Race & Education. I also hold professionally recognised qualifications carrying the status of a Fellow for both the Higher Education Academy and a Fellow for the Society of Education and Training. These are some of the highest professional and academic qualifications that one can hold with regards to teaching and lecturing. I have been teaching and lecturing in the public and private sectors for secondary, further and higher education establishments for over 18 years.
For the last four years now I have been working as a supply teacher, working across the East Midlands region teaching in an average of about 15 different schools each year, teaching ks3, ks4, and ks5 on a one to one, group and to full classes of students. This has given me vast insight into different levels of excellence, and the many different approaches which schools and academies take. This has helped to shape my flexibility and adaptability to new and different teaching methods, and exposured me to a wide range of mixed ability students. Ranging from students with a physical and/or mental disability, through to upper quartile students. The these teaching methods are proved to be highly successful as reflected in the high levels of academic qualifications attained.
With regards to information computer technology, (ICT) I have delivered and I work with a number of students undertaking courses such as Cambridge National, OCR, and BTEC National levels one, two and level three and also courses such as creating media, Photoshop and working with the Microsoft suite of packages.

I have an excellent understanding of the difference in learning styles. This is implemented through the end to end learning and development strategies and materials which I deliver at different levels and qualifications. For example, on the Masters of Business Administration (MBA), Higher National Diploma (HND), Chartered Management Institute (CMI) courses at level three and Level five, National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) level three and level five in a variety of areas of specialism for work based learners. I have also taught and delivered on the Oxford and Cambridge National vocational and non-vocational courses and on the Assessment and Qualifications Alliance (AQA) and the Pearson– London examination in Malta, more commonly known as Edexcel to name just a few.
As an A1 NVQ assessor I coached, mentored and assessed learners in a tutorial format in the working environment to work towards raising their standards, professional competence, and occupational standards in line with national standards. I have also applied these skills at undergraduate and postgraduate courses to help set out review plans and learning programmes for learners. Central to this process is providing feedback and guidance to learners as well as ensuring learners adhere to the required standards.
Having lectured at the Open University, and in a number of further and higher education establishments, I recognised that the levels of motivation, learning preferences, technology experience, and the time learners are able or willing to spend on their study have changed. I used flexibility and convenience of E-Learning, virtual classroom, and video sessions, to match up with the busy lifestyles and learning goals. Therefore, as a learning tool it helped learners overcome issues of time management and lack of self-discipline required to devote adequate time studying.
