About Edie
I love Economics and Business Studies, that's why I'm a teacher, and I love sharing this passion with you. It may seem like there are some tricky topics in these subjects, but we can work together to break them down and you'll get them in no time at all!
I love tech, so can provide you with lots of additional resources to use outside of the lessons too e.g. Quizlets (digital flashcards), Waygrounds (online knowledge checker tests), revision notes etc - I've got everything to help you succeed!

Every lesson starts the same with a 'DO NOW' activity. This allows you to activate your brain and also makes a link from the previous lesson. I follow the 4 part lesson structure:
Part 1: Connection (Do now)
Part 2: Knowledge construction (teacher talk)
Part 3: Demonstration (you complete an activity)
Part 4: Consolidation (ensure you understand what has been taught and identify any areas that may need to be reviewed in the next lesson)
I keep you engaged by having a fast-paced, high-expectation, fun learning environment. I make regular links to economies all around the world and make reference to businesses/industries that I know you're interested in. This makes the content relevant and exciting (well Business and Economics are already exciting!)

- I am a fully qualified Business and Economics teacher and have taught in a range of schools for the past 10+ years
