About Madison
Hi, I’m Madison — a UK-based biology tutor with a first-class Master’s degree (MSc) in Biochemistry and Genetics from a Russell Group university.
I have a strong academic foundation, having achieved top honours in a rigorous and research-led environment, and I combine this with real-world industry experience in digital health and biotechnology. As the founder of a health-tech company, I work closely with biological data, research, and personalised health insights, which allows me to bring a practical and relevant perspective into my teaching.
Alongside this, I have experience teaching and supporting students from Year 7 through to undergraduate level. I genuinely enjoy helping students build confidence in subjects that can often feel complex or overwhelming, and I take pride in adapting my approach to suit each individual.
Students and parents often describe me as patient, approachable, and clear in my explanations. I understand that biology is often taught in a way that encourages memorisation, which can make it feel difficult and disconnected. My aim is to make it logical, engaging, and easier to understand by breaking concepts down clearly and showing how they link together.
I am passionate about helping students not only achieve excellent academic results, but also develop a genuine interest in biology, biochemistry and genetics — building knowledge and confidence that extends beyond exams and into everyday life.

I take a highly personalised, warm and patient approach to tutoring, as I believe effective learning is different for every student.
In our first session, we will focus on understanding your current level, goals, and individual learning style. This allows me to tailor all future lessons to suit how you learn best — whether that’s through visual explanations, active recall, exam practice, or step-by-step breakdowns of complex concepts.
My lessons are typically one hour long and are designed to build both deep understanding and exam performance. We begin by focusing on the “why” behind each topic — ensuring you fully understand the underlying biology, rather than just memorising content. Once this foundation is strong, we then apply this knowledge to exam-style questions and past papers, helping you structure answers in a way that aligns with what examiners are looking for.
I have experience teaching students from Year 7 through to undergraduate level, and I adapt my teaching style accordingly — whether that’s building confidence with core concepts or refining high-level scientific understanding for exams and coursework.
Above all, I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence. Biology, biochemistry and genetics are fascinating subjects, and my goal is that you not only achieve excellent results, but also develop a genuine understanding that you can carry forward and apply in everyday life beyond your exams.
Alongside my academic background, I also have real-world industry experience in digital health and biotechnology, having founded and built a health-tech company. This allows me to bring practical, real-life context into lessons, helping you understand how the biology you learn applies beyond the classroom.
